POSH Pregnant: LIVE! Gender Reveal Soiree

I promise this is the last little bit of baby excitment for awhile! After this I’m hunkering down to register, come up with the BEST baby boy name in the world and set up what will surely be the most stylish of stylish nurseries. First, I want to share a few shots of our gender reveal soiree we threw as well as the video from our big cake-cutting moment.

The Mr. and I decided we wanted to milk the baby excitement for all it’s worth and you know me, I’ll use any excuse to party. At our 20-week ultrasound, we had the technician seal the results in an envelope that we immediately took to Hoffman’s Bakery. The next day we picked up our cake (which would have either pink or blue buttercream frosting filling) and that night, we threw a little party and invited friends to watch us cut the cake and celebrate the big moment with us!

LIVE! DIY False Eyelashes!

You got to bat your eyes like diss…..

Hey POSHees! Today’s tutorial shows you how to get fabulous falsies as seen here on the beautiful Twiggy.

Tools:

MAC Eyelashes

DUO Surgical Glue

Tweezers

Small Scissors

Bedazzled Biscotti Eyeshadow by Cover Girl and Brush

Black False Lashes Mascara by Voluminous

Black Liquid Colorstay Liner by Revlon

Q-Tip

{It helps to start with a clean and dry eyelid. Also, to make the eyelash more flexible, resulting in a natural look, warm briefly with a blowdryer and roll back and forth with your fingertips.}

Steps:

1. Measure your eyelash by lining up the false eyelash to your real one. Trim 1/4-1/2 off to achieve a more natural look.

2. Apple a small amount of glue along the lash with the end of the tweezers.

3. Wait until the glue has gotten a bit tacky before adhering the lash to your lid.

4. Use the tweezers to shift it to the right or left to line the lash up where you want it.

5. Press firmly for a ten or fifteen count.

6. Apply liquid liner over any visible glue.

7. Apply (primer and) eyeshadow on eyelid.

8. Magnifique!

{To pair with the sexy smokey eye, watch this.)
